The program

Advocates Recovery Services is proud to offer a Supplemental Security Income/Social Security Disability Insurance Outreach Access Recovery – “SOAR” – Program. Secured through a competitive proposal process, ARS’s dedicated SOAR Team is a group of CCAR Certified Recovery Coaches, Certified Peer Support Counselors, and subject experts which provide expert assistance and advocacy in navigating the complex SS/SSDI landscape. Trained in trauma informed care and evidenced-based practices, our SOAR Director embodies culturally-sensitive and aware services calibrated to support Snohomish County’s most vulnerable.

Julia Reardon, our SOAR Director, leads our SOAR team. As a Certified SOAR Navigator, Certified Peer Counselor, and Certified Motivational Interviewer, Julia uses her training in Trauma Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid to identify clients’ unique challenges in navigating the SSI/SSDI process. Her weekly presence in our Respite, Housing, and Outreach Programs means our clients have access to critical and otherwise sometimes elusive care.
